Meetings are held every three months, on the last Wednesday of the month, between 6.30-8.00pm at the Guildhall.

Steering Group

The Steering Group is a smaller group comprised of representatives from a broad base of local sectors and geographical areas who meet on a regular basis to progress action. Steering Group membership is elected on a yearly basis at the January AGM.

Consultation:

Totnes Fore Street experiences considerable traffic and safety issues due to the combination of narrow pavements and fast-moving motor traffic, endangering pedestrians and cyclists. Devon County Council has proposed implementing three measures to slow down cars and to deter vehicles from entering Fore Street while still maintaining access for shopping, deliveries and servicing.

DCC & TTC need to know whether there is public support for the proposal before taking any action.

TTC ran public consultation in the form of a survey and an in-person drop-in event at the Civic Hall in Totnes. The responses are currently being analysed and will go to the Planning Committee in May for consideration.

Preliminary designs:

You can download the preliminary designs below.

SK210809-01: Demonstration of a typical layout for measure at one of the existing crossing points (by Christopher McCabe Butchers and by Well Pharmacy).

SK210809-02: Preliminary design for measure by the Seven Stars Hotel with the HGV ramp on the north side of the street.

SK211104-01: Alternative preliminary design for measure by the Seven Stars Hotel with the HGV ramp on the south side of the street.
