Thursday 28th May 2026, 6pm, The Civic Hall, Totnes
We warmly invite Totnes residents to attend this year’s Annual Town Meeting, taking place at the Civic Hall in the heart of Totnes.
The Annual Town Meeting offers an opportunity for residents to engage directly with Totnes Town Council, learn more about the council’s strategic plans and priorities, and raise any questions, ideas, or concerns they may have about the town and its future.
Totnes Mayor, Councillor Tim Bennett, said:
“The Annual Town Meeting is an important opportunity for the council to update residents on the past year’s achievements and share our plans for the year ahead. We’re fortunate to have such an engaged and active community in Totnes, and we hope local people will join us to celebrate those who make a real difference through our Community Awards, hear about progress on our strategic plan, and share their views on the future of the town.”
A highlight of the evening will be the announcement of the winners of the 2026 Totnes Town Council Community Awards, recognising individuals and groups who make a selfless and positive contribution to the wellbeing of others in our community.
The meeting itself usually lasts less than an hour, but it provides an open and welcoming space for residents to connect with the council and take part in local civic life. We would be delighted to see you there at the Civic Hall on Market Square.
