Mayor’s Charity Dance Raises over £2000

There was a large turnout for the recent Mayor’s Charity Dance, with lots of locals coming to support local charities Bridgetown Alive! and Stepping Stones by taking part in the ceilidh dancing event. Local bands The Sea Gals and The Bear’s Den Dance kept everyone entertained and the dance raised over £2000 for its charities.

Stepping Stones is home to the Totnes food bank, TQ9 Food Club, Warm Hearts Cafe (Pay-what-you-can), and Mindful Arts & Crafting. Bridgetown Alive! organise local projects and events, manage Bridgetown community hall, as well as raising funds for outdoor improvements and play equipment for Bridgetown’s public spaces.
