Totnes Town Council updated its community funding model in 2026 to better support local organisations and projects. Funding is now available through small grants, which support smaller-scale time-limited community projects and initiatives, alongside core funding, which helps provide essential services to the town.
The following projects have been awarded a 2026 Totnes Town Council Small Grant:
Community working Group: £5000 Allocation
Sharpham Estate Parkrun – Replacement parkrun sign – awarded £55 (100% of amount requested)
Better Places –- Hello Activities and Food for Families – awarded £1000 (100% of amount requested)
Stepping Stones – The Essential Project – healthier food provision – awarded £1000 (100% of amount requested)
TADPOOL – Totnes Pool Commando Run Inflatable – awarded £500 (100% of amount requested)
Tiny Skyrise Festival – Community Event – awarded £1000 (100% of amount requested)
Totnes Lantern Festival – Community lantern sessions and parade – awarded £2300 (100% of amount requested) Allocated from the Christmas Light budget underspend instead of the Community Working Group Grants Pot.
Economy Working Group (Event Sponsorship): £2500 Allocation
Totnes Pride – Pride Festival – awarded £1000 (44.44% of amount requested)
Environment & Public Realm Working Group – £5000 Allocation
Leechwell Garden Association – Volunteer sessions & garden maintenance – awarded £1000 (33.33% of amount requested}
#LoveCastleSt – Ongoing gardening and maintenance at two public Castle St locations – awarded £300 (100% of amount requested)
